Applies only during active leaderboard cycles operated by The ArthIQ Daily.

Skill-Based Performance Program; Not a Sweepstakes or Contest of Chance. These Official Rules govern The ArthIQ Daily Leaderboard, a deterministic, merit-based recognition program for Referrers who generate the highest number of Qualifying Referrals during a leaderboard cycle. The Leaderboard is not a sweepstakes, lottery, raffle, or contest of chance. Winners are determined entirely by verified, objective performance metrics — specifically, the count of Qualifying Referrals attributed to each participant during the cycle. No element of chance is involved in winner determination.

1. Eligibility

  • Open to all current users of The ArthIQ Daily (on a free tier or any paid subscription tier) who are participating in the Referral Program in good standing.
  • Participants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and U.S. residents or U.S. persons (matching Service eligibility).
  • Employees, contractors, officers, and immediate family members of ArthIQ, Inc. are not eligible to win Leaderboard prizes (though they may participate in the Referral Program for Subscription Credit).
  • Participants suspended for, or in current violation of, the Terms of Service or Referral Program rules are ineligible.

2. Leaderboard Cycle and Counting

  • Leaderboards run on a monthly cycle (or such other cadence as published in advance).
  • Leaderboard standing is determined by accumulated Leaderboard Points. Each Qualifying Referral earns one (1) Leaderboard Point. Each verified activated free-tier referral (a Referee who completes account activation as defined in Section 5 of the Terms of Service but does not become a paying subscriber within the cycle) earns a fractional Leaderboard Point as published in the Referral Program rules (at the date of these Rules, 0.1 Leaderboard Point, reflecting a 10:1 weighting of paying Qualifying Referrals to activated free-tier referrals; subject to amendment).
  • Self-referrals, household referrals, fraudulent referrals, and any referrals voided under the Referral Program rules earn no Leaderboard Points.

3. Prizes

  • The top three (3) participants by verified accumulated Leaderboard Points at the end of each leaderboard cycle each receive: (a) a modest gift card (currently US$50 to US$200, exact value published in advance for each cycle); and (b) a handwritten "thank-you from the Editor" note.
  • Prize values for each cycle are determined by ArthIQ in advance and published before the cycle starts.
  • Cumulative annual prize values per participant are tracked. Participants whose cumulative prize value exceeds the applicable IRS reporting threshold for the calendar year will receive an information return reporting prize income on the applicable IRS form (Form 1099-MISC or Form 1099-NEC) as determined by ArthIQ's tax counsel based on the nature of the participant's activity, the prize structure, and then-current IRS rules. For participants who are both prize winners and enrolled Affiliates, prize income and service compensation may be reported on separate forms. ArthIQ will request W-9 (or W-8-BEN) information from any participant approaching the applicable threshold.

4. Determination of Winners

  • Winners are determined automatically by The ArthIQ Daily's internal program-administration systems at the end of each leaderboard cycle, based on accumulated Leaderboard Points verified for each participant.
  • Ties are resolved by earliest qualifying-referral time within the cycle.
  • ArthIQ may verify referrals before announcing winners and may take up to ten (10) calendar days post-cycle close to confirm final standings.

5. Prize Delivery

  • Winners are notified by email at the address on file.
  • Prizes are delivered within thirty (30) days of cycle close, subject to verification.
  • Failure to respond to delivery-related questions within thirty (30) days of notification forfeits the prize.
  • Prizes are non-transferable. ArthIQ may substitute a prize of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.

6. Tax Obligations

  • Prize recipients are solely responsible for any applicable taxes on prizes received. ArthIQ may withhold or report prize values as required by applicable tax law.

7. Right to Modify, Suspend, or Discontinue

  • ArthIQ may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Leaderboard at any time with reasonable notice. Modifications apply to future cycles; cycles already completed and verified are not affected.

8. Privacy

  • Winners may be listed by first name and last initial in The ArthIQ Daily editorial communications, in-product surfaces, or social media. Winners may opt out of public recognition by emailing legal@thearthiqdaily.com within seven (7) days of cycle-close notification.

9. Disputes

  • Disputes regarding the Leaderboard, including disputes over prize delivery, eligibility decisions, or referral verification, are subject to the Dispute Resolution provisions of the Terms of Service (Section 13).
